You may remember back in October the most precious maternity session out at Hart Prairie that I did for my good coworker and friend, Courtney and her husband, David. Of course we had to follow up in spring to get some new family photos now that sweet baby Porter is here! We also had the chance to celebrate the soon-to-be grad with some photos at Old Main on NAU's campus. Congrats to David on your upcoming graduation from the Mechanical Engineering program and thanks for making taking beautiful photos so easy Courtney, David, and Porter!

Happy 2017 all! The new year brings our latest travels to an end (a 2,600 mile road trip!) but I'm so excited to see all the places we'll go in 2017. My hopes for this new year not only include more travel but doing more of what I love and that's capturing authentic moments between families and couples set against the very best backdrop: the great outdoors. I can't wait to create imagery that captures the here and now but will stay with you for the long haul. Stay tuned for exciting opportunities and announcements as I work towards this goal.
To kick this whole thing off, I've been dying to share these sweet shots I got of my sister-in-law and brother-in-law on Christmas eve. We woke up in South Dakota to frosty trees and the whole town engulfed in a dense fog. After a little arm twisting (not!), I convinced them to bundle up for a few shots. Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing the Hemmer family at Buffalo Park here in Flagstaff. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful, partly-cloudy day to romp around at one of their favorite places in town. Miriam and Ezra were such troopers and naturals in front of the camera. And Helen and Jason are total #couplegoals!
I know Helen from work and was so honored she asked me to capture her beautiful little family. In planning our photo session, I knew this was going to be a great one! She was looking for less posed, more natural photography that would tell the story of her family at this stage in their lives which perfectly aligns with my own photography philosophy. I had so much fun with this cute family and would love to create more photo magic with other families or couples in the Flagstaff area! If interested, head on over to the Contact page to connect with me! In the meantime, check out a few favorites from this family session below. Last Sunday, I had the opportunity to take some photos of my coworker Courtney and her husband, David, who are expecting their first child (non-furbaby that is) together this November. They so graciously asked me to help them capture this special moment in time. We ventured out to Hart Prairie to sneak a peak at the rapidly changing aspens. It's been awhile since I've shot people other than family members and they made it so easy for me! They were naturals and the perfect, overcast lighting didn't hurt either! Can't wait for this new adventure for the two of you! Interested in setting up a shoot? Click "Contact" at the top of the page and send me an email or a DM on Instagram!
